Cinemaxx is owned by Lippo Group, one of Asia’s largest, most diversified conglomerates founded by an Indonesian businessman. The group has been developing the business to movie theatres, launching the first Cinemaxx in 2014 in Jakarta. They have around 40 cinemas in many locations in Indonesia with more than 200 screens. Cinemaxx brings you a number of features to maximize your cinematic experience, such as Cinemaxx Junior, Ultra XD, Cinemaxx Gold and Cinemaxx Regular. In their Bali cinemas, only Cinemaxx Gold and Cinemaxx Regular are currently available.
Cinemaxx Lippo Mall Kuta is the first Cinemaxx in Bali, began operating in February 2015 with 5 regular screens and 2 Gold screens, also features both 2D and 3D cinematic experiences.
In the middle of Kuta busy life, cinemas will be an escape. Get some relaxing time at Cinemaxx Lippo Mall Kuta. If you are around, head to Jalan Kartika Plaza and find Lippo Mall. Cinemaxx is located in the lower ground, at the entrance from parking area, and can be accessed from the main entrance where you will find it downstairs the elevators.
From here, you will find the waiting lounge next to Cinema Four and Cinema Five entrance. Posters of now playing and coming soon movies are attached on the walls, with some black and white photos of popular movie stars. The interiors have been carefully designed to spark a vibe of classy, golden era of Hollywood in modern style. A unique touch to cinemas in Bali you don’t feel anywhere else.
Cinema One, Cinema Two, and Cinema Three are located separately at the other hall, with another movie posters and some movie stars’ faces blurred on the walls. The waiting lounge at Cinemaxx Lippo Mall Kuta is comfortable even though the hall is not so spacious.

For those who prefer some VIP extras, choose Cinemaxx Gold. The only Cinemaxx Gold in Bali, this feature enables you to sit back on lavish, reclining leather seats with pillows and blankets, enjoy first-class dining, and get attendants on call.

The cinema is across some food stalls that sell snacks, Thai tea, ice cream, among others. Lippo Mall Kuta might not be the biggest mall in Bali, but the shopping center has a more laid-back atmosphere and offers a variety of shops from Indonesian popular department store Matahari, food court, restaurants, fashion stores, to kids playground. The mall is kind of a mix of modern and traditional Balinese, with some local souvenirs, batik clothing, crafts, and products available. They also have live music at night.

Cinemaxx Plaza Renon in South Denpasar began operating in October 2017. The strategic location makes it a perfect meeting point for those around Denpasar and also Sanur area. Nestled at the top floor (third floor) of Plaza Renon across Colony Restaurant, this Cinemaxx is smaller than the Kuta one.
Featuring 4 regular theatres with 448 seating capacity in total, Cinemaxx Plaza Renon screens both local and international movies.

Unlike Cinemaxx Lippo Mall Kuta, Cinemaxx Plaza Renon only shows 2D movies. The ticket pricing starts a bit higher:
- IDR 45.000 on Monday to Thursday,
- IDR 55.000 on Friday, and IDR 65.000 on Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays.
A number of food and craft stalls are on the same floor and you can have some relaxing time at their rooftop outdoor lounge.
