Since opening in 2008, Sarong has become the most sought after Asian cusine dining establishment in Bali. Founding Chef Will Meyrick developed the concept after setting up several successful restaurants around Pacific Asia.
It was in Bali that Will decided to cumulate his experience and open a restaurant to share enticing recipes he’d sought out from street-food vendors around Asia.
The Singapore World Gourmet Summit placed Sarong in the top five best Asian restaurants in 2011, Conde Naste Traveller magazine tipped Sarong to be the hottest new global restaurant in 2009, and the Miele Guide pegged Sarong in the top five best Indonesian Restaurants in 2009 and 2010.
Sarong offers guests two dining pavilions to enjoy a leisurely dinner, an outdoor lounge and an informal dining area adjacent to the bar, which is a great meeting place to taste superb cocktails and world-class wines. The restaurant is open evenings only and seats 142 in total. It is advisable to advance book although walk-in guests may be accommodated in the lounge area that blends perfectly with the sumptuously decorated open-air environment.
Sarong kindly encourages guests to smoke at the bar and not in the main dining areas.
We also advise guests that Sarong is for adults and children over the age of 12, unless prearranged by the management. Our security staff are onsite to to assist with parking, there are two car parks outside the main front entrance and to the rear of the restaurant.
Indulge and enjoy one of Sarong’s signature cocktails, select your favourite aperitif or finish the evening off perfectly with a digestif at the bar.
If you’re on a tight schedule and fancy a quick taste of Sarong, be sure to ask for the bar menu featuring a choice selection of Asian style tapas dishes.
Our in-house Sommelier pairs global wines to suit our Asian cuisine menu offering plenty of variety and at reasonable prices. Please note we do not accept BYO.
